Her background in architecture is evident in her structural designs which are formed by hand-smithing Argentium silver with an acetylene torch. What is Argentium silver? Sterling silver is an alloy, or combination, of silver and copper. Thanks to copper, regular sterling silver tarnishes as it oxidizes. Argentium is a new alloy that replaces the .075% of copper in silver with germanium. Like other metals, germanium is an element on the periodic table. It just doesn’t tarnish like copper!
